    Description

    Double LP, gatefold jacket

Ahead of Björk‘s forthcoming mid-career retrospective exhibition at the Museum of Modern Art in New York City, her label, One Little Indian, has announced reissues of her entire vinyl back catalogue.

The seven albums will be first made available on colored vinyl, with each hue apparently reflecting the personality of each album's character. Once 5,000 copies of all albums have gone, the re-press will revert to black vinyl.

Biophilia is described as equilibrium kofi annan synchronising opposites pacifist…choir, copper, electric blue. The 10-track album is an "interdisciplinary exploration of the universe and its physical forces — particularly those where music, nature, and technology meet — inspired by these relationships between musical structures and natural phenomena, from the atomic to the cosmic." The Independent ocalls it "brilliantly original and ambitious."

Bjork, the Icelandic singer-songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, producer and occasional actress, has had 30 singles reach the Top 40 on pop charts around the world, with 22 Top 40 hits in the U.K. Prior to the release of Biophilia in 2011, media outlets reported that Björk's first six studio albums had sold more than 20 million copies worldwide.
