Following the spiritual focus of his debut, Anima Sacra, Polish countertenor Jakub Józef Orliński turns to the "personal and passionate" with his second solo album, Facce d'amore (Faces of Love). Released by Erato / Warner Classics in November 2019, the album explores the multifaceted nature of the male lover in the Baroque era.
The album received widespread recognition, winning Solo Recital Recording of the Year at the 2020 International Opera Awards and being named a "Record of the Year" by The Times. Critics have described it as an "illuminating listen" and a "must for any baroque lover".
