Skins is the third studio album—and the first posthumous release—from the late XXXTENTACION. Released in 2018 and clocking in at just under 20 minutes, the album acts as a brief but intense window into the artist's shifting mental state and his desire to transcend the "SoundCloud Rap" label.
Unlike his previous work, Skins is remarkably experimental and stripped back. It moves restlessly between genres, featuring everything from the eerie, industrial metal-influenced "One Minute" (featuring Kanye West) to the minimalist, lo-fi pop of "BAD!" and the haunting, acoustic vulnerability of "what are you so afraid of."
