The legendary TBM collaboration returns for its third installment with an album featuring songs selected based on listener requests, coupled with a studio live recording. This album truly captures the essence of "the best of the best"!
In the 1970s, the legendary Japanese jazz label Three Blind Mice produced several iconic albums, such as Midnight Sugar and Misty, by jazz pianist Tsuyoshi Yamamoto and engineer Yoshihiko Kaminari. Yamamoto, along with bassist Hiroshi Kagawa and drummer Toshio Osumi, reunited in 2022 to record BLUES FOR K (SCOL1062). This was followed by the release of SWEET FOR K (SCOL1071), which received significant attention and high praise not only in Japan but also in Asia and Europe.
Their latest album was recorded in a live studio setting at Onkyo House in Tokyo, a location that previously hosted TBM recordings and their earlier work SWEET FOR K. This album captures the essence of Yamamoto's live performance, combined with the studio magic of Kaminari. Additionally, the album includes songs selected from a public request campaign, fulfilling the dreams of many music fans. The re-performance of the beloved track "Tsuioku," live favorites like "Doxy," and specially requested songs like "Alice in Wonderland," "Fools Rush In," "Milestones," and "Charade" are part of the special tracklist.

1970年代の伝説の和ジャズレーベル「スリー・ブラインド・マイス」で『ミッドナイト・シュガー』『ミスティ』など数々の世界的名盤を生み出してきたジャズピアニスト山本剛とエンジニア神成芳彦。ベース香川裕史、ドラム大隅寿男との鉄壁のトリオで、2022年『BLUES FOR K』(SCOL1062)を録音し再会。その後も、『SWEET FOR K』(SCOL1071)を発表すると、両作は日本だけでなくアジアやヨーロッパでもリリースされるなど、海外でも大きな話題と高い評価を得た。最新作は、かつてTBMや前作『SWEET FOR K』もレコーディングされた東京・音響ハウスにて、観客を入れてのスタジオライブレコーディングを決行。山本剛の真骨頂であるライブ演奏と、神成マジックによるスタジオサウンドが存分に収められた。さらに、事前に公募されたリクエスト曲から選曲されるという音楽ファンの夢が叶う作品。待望の「追憶」の再演、ライブで人気の「Doxy」、そして「Alice inWonderland」「Fools Rush In」「Milestones」「Charade」はリクエストならではの選曲だ。
