Big Thief, who became one of the mainstays of the US indie scene with their Grammy nomination, is releasing their latest album in 2025! Big Thief, the Grammy-nominated band that has become a major force in the US indie scene, has released its sixth album, "Double Infinity," on the 4AD label. Double Infinity" is the follow-up to their Grammy-nominated 2022 album "Dragon New Warm Mountain I Believe In You" and was recorded in the winter of 2024 at Power Station Studios in New York City. worked for three weeks, meeting daily in the warm, wood-floored rooms of Power Station, cycling back and forth between Brooklyn and Manhattan on the icy streets.
With musical colleagues like Larage, Alena Spanjer, Caleb Michael, Hannah Cohen, John Nellen, Joshua Crumbley, June McDoom, Mikkel Patrick Avery, and Mikey Buishas, they played for nine hours a day, all recording simultaneously, improvising on arrangements and building on their collective discoveries.
