Daniel Domb is an accomplished cellist from Haifa, Israel, who began on violin before switching to cello under the tutelage of Paul Tortelier and Leonard Rose. He gained recognition at age 15, performing with the New York Philharmonic under Leonard Bernstein. His solo career includes appearances with major orchestras like the Chicago Symphony and Cleveland Orchestra, and performances in prestigious venues such as Carnegie Hall and Wigmore Hall. Domb completed his degrees at Juilliard, taught at Oberlin, and held principal cellist roles with the Cleveland and Toronto Symphony Orchestras. His recordings include the complete Bach Cello Suites and several collaborative works with his wife Carey, including pieces for cello and guitar.
Carey Domb is also a cellist, with degrees from Rice University, and has performed with orchestras like the Toronto Philharmonic. She has transitioned to guitar to accompany Daniel in their duo performances, creating a unique cello-guitar sound. Their music has been well-received internationally, with significant success in Taiwan and among audiophiles, leading to vinyl releases in Germany and China. Their work together has been praised for its harmony and emotional impact, reaching audiences worldwide.
