Description
John Coltrane was an influential jazz musician who rose to fame in the 1950s. Born in North Carolina in 1926, he began playing clarinet and later switched to alto saxophone. After serving in the Navy, he joined Dizzy Gillespie's big band and later worked with Miles Davis, developing his unique tenor saxophone sound. His album "Blue Train" (1957) is considered one of his best works, showcasing his exploratory harmonics and cool yet expressive voice. Coltrane continued to innovate and inspire until his death from liver cancer in 1967, leaving behind a legacy of influential recordings.
