The second volume of Marin Marais' Viol Collection is now available on LP, including the "Spanish Folia" at the beginning. The chamber music of Marais was recorded by Jordi Savall, Anne Gallet and Hopkinson Smith in 1976.
Originally, Jordi Savall was recording for the ASTREE label, but since Savall himself launched ALIA VOX label, he has been releasing new recordings on this label, while at the same time transferring the material from his ASTREE days.
