This album was recorded in New York with Eumir Deodato, who is also known for the soundtrack of the movie "2001: A Space Odyssey," as the producer. Incidentally, Deodato was also used as an arranger on an album by the young bossa nova master Antonio Carlos Jobim. Starting with "A MAN AND WOMAN" familiar with Francis Ray singing in French for the first time, the album includes Frank Sinatra's masterpiece "ALL THE WAY", Tony Bennett's classic "I LEFT MY HEART IN SAN FRANCISCO", The Beatles, The Beatles, Stevie Wonder, The Police, and many more. Lisa Ono's original song "Be With Me" is also included. The urban rhythm section and elegant arrangement give the song a cool, adult groove, and the sound and vocals are subtly respectful of the great songs. (C)RS
