Description
fruitcake is a Christmas EP by American singer-songwriter Sabrina Carpenter, released on November 17, 2023. While Carpenter had previously released a number of Christmas singles and covers, fruitcake is her first fully Christmas-themed record, as well as her first EP since her debut EP Can’t Blame a Girl for Trying in 2014.
The EP followed the deluxe reissue of her fifth studio album, emails i can’t send fwd:, and includes the single “A Nonsense Christmas”, a holiday remix of her hit song “Nonsense” that was released a year prior. The song “santa doesn’t know you like i do” was later promoted as the EP’s second single, and received a music video on December 7, 2023 starring Henry Eikenberry as Carpenter’s love interest.
A Netflix holiday special titled A Nonsense Christmas with Sabrina Carpenter was released on December 6, 2024, featuring live performances of the first four songs on the EP along with other holiday standards.
