This 50th anniversary edition of Creedence Clearwater Revival's third studio album, originally released in 1969, is pressed on 180-gram vinyl mastered at half-speed for optimum audio quality by award-winning engineer Miles Showell at Abbey Road Studios in London. The release marks the first time the album has been available as a half-speed master individually; it was previously only part of CCR's 7LP Studio Album Collections box set.
Green River was one of three albums released by CCR during 1969, all of which made the US Top Ten. Released in August of that year, Green River was the band's first No. 1 album and includes the signature hits "Bad Moon Rising" and "Green River", enduring CCR fan favorites "Lodi" and "Wrote A Song For Everyone", plus a cover of the R&B standard "The Night Time Is The Right Time".
