Description
Tutto Pavarotti is made up of selections from the tenor's opera and recital solos from the Decca archive, plus a track from the soundtrack to the 1988 film The Fortunate Pilgrim. The original releases date from 1968 to 1988, a period when Pavarotti was at the height of his vocal powers. The performances exhibit the characteristic, strength, warmth, and passion of his singing. About two-thirds are operatic arias, taken from complete opera recordings or recitals and the rest are songs, mostly post-Romantic Italian pieces like "'O sole mio."
