Description
The complete original LP + 2 bonus tracks – audiophile pressing on 180g premium vinyl. Released at a time when Nat King Cole was more acknowledged by the public as a popular chart-topping singer, this album is a reminder that he was also an incredible jazz pianist and the inspiration of many other musicians of the time and beyond, including Oscar Peterson.
The original Penthouse Serenade album, issued in 1952, was a 10" LP and consisted of the first four tracks on each side. It was reissued in 1955 adding four tracks from a new quartet session on which Lee Young replaced Bunny Shawker on drums.
Includes the bonus tracks 'Laugh! Cool Down' and 'I Surrender Dear' [alternate take].
